question and answer

For this last entry, as we are required to answer few simple questions on what we have learn and what we had gain so far.. so here are my answers...

1. What do you like about blogging?
what i like about blogging is that it gives me another space for me to share my feelings,thoughts and somehow allowing people to get to know me through my words. It also makes bloggers closer to one another as we feel that we are close eventhough only by reading their feelings and their daily routines. Another good thing is that we avoid the shyness of meeting peole as we can also connect through blogs

2. What you do not like about blogging?
- well the thing that i dont like about blog is that, somehow people tend to just judge us, or me just through what write, and not wanting to know me more as a person. It may be a disadvantage and make many people hurts also by the things that we write in blogs.

3. What have you gained from blogging eg. Language skills, improved fluency, critical thinking, improved thought processes, technology skills etc.

- i have been using blogs or quite some time now, and i can see that i am improving in my language skills, critical thinking and also my technology skills.

4. How?

-How..? as for the language skills, i can see the progress through my writing, the more i write, the better my language skills are. such as the arrangement of ideas and how i arrange my words to convey the meaning. as in the critical thinking part, it helps me enhance thinking by self reflection on what had happen in my life, and how it makes me a better person or maybe worse and lastly for the technology skills,as it involves using computers and handling a site or blog it helps me to handle my own space and website

5. What do you like about this course?
It makes me realize the importance of technology and how we can manipulate it to cater to our needs. also i learn about PRINT SCREEN and how to do a step by step tutorial on doing something. I know it is important especially as teachers to be.

7. What have you learnt from this course?
-Print screen and how to do a steP BY step tutorial.

8. What have you learnt from this course that you did not expect to?
- One of it is the print screen part. and how much we use it through the whole semester, everything is about print screen. Also a little on how to edit videos, pictures so it will be more interesting

9. What have u expected but do not learn from this course?
i was expecting to know how to use new technology softwares to be used in the classroom,and not how to use basic things.

10. If you can change anything about this course, state what is and elaborate?
- i would say, it would be better if there is a teaching session or we call it 'simulated teaching' involving softwares or technology in teaching. this enables us to see clearly. Also it will be better if the task is reduce as it always confuse us with the assignments.

Last week! I can barely breathe.

its the last week of our class of resources
oh gosh. all the fourteen week passes by just like that...sometimes its hard to believe...!!
well as we all know, when its near the end of the semester, it means.. MOST of the assignment are also due in the final weeks.

the lesson plan which we did in groups of 4, is being compile. i can see everyone is busy to complete their assignments. The portfolio assignment is also on the way, because it is a lot of tutorials to do, so it is always updating to ensure it can be finish in time...

Also, we are always asking for exam tips from Pn.Foziah, such as the expected questions to be out.. and the topics we should really focus on.. we are very lucky that Pn. Foziah gives a few tips, so we can at least be prepared and score!!

another week. another interesting..:D

hello. hello.
another week is here.. and this week we kind of take it easy and just chill in the class.
remember i told u about doing the video with my partner, hayat. yeah! today we are lucky that P.Foziah let us watch aaalll the video produce by everyone... i am very glaaad to hear it. I am excited too because i know, all the videos must be interesting and funny to watch!

So all of us sit in the front row, and when everyone starts to upload their video to Pn.Foziah's main computer, i notice that my video are not able to play. I told hayat and we panic for a while. We tried everything to make it better, we even try to record it one more time using Camtasia.
Thank God, everything was fine before the video viewing starts.
I really enjoyed the session, there are a lot of funny videos, alot of videos with meaningful message too!! Mine is of course something funny, but with a good message i can say, that we should love unconditionally. we should also be a better person for the one we love and we know is worth all the sacrifices.

well, this is also a good session as we can see and know that video can be a very good and interactive teaching material to teach and convey meaningful moral values to pupils. . . i may want to use this approach in the future, as i now pupils (especially in the future) would be bored to learn only from books. Yeah! i know and have a rough idea what to do now..when i be a teacher..:)

A few more weeks before the final exams. im having the shivers already!

week 10 : its in the process

hey readers. indeed it is a good day today
we come to the class a bit late today.. because of the traffic jam and the difficulties to find parkings at this peak hours.. sorry to Pn.Foziah.. we hope we will not make the same mistake again.

this morning, Pn. Foziah has to leave the class for a while, and she leave me and Firdaus to be in-charged of the class. therefore, we have divided works and everyone has to present the article they read in power point. after the time given, and Pn.Foziah arrive, we start our presentation... most of the articles are about the use of technology in teaching and learning process. The advantage and disadvantage of it, the obstacles teacher and pupils face in order to use technology in classes. It is a real eye opener for all of us teacher to be. It was a good session for aalll of us.

Then, Pn.Foziah divided us into groups for our next assignment, which we have to compile different types of teaching material, that are technology base. Power points, flash card, video, songs and many more that are technology base teaching aids should be compile and be sent. We also had the time to discuss and have a rough idea on what we want to do so we can finish it in time. Another task and assignment for all of us. Hope we will all success in doing it..:)

week 9. i get a partner..:D

hello people..:)
well this week, we move on to one more topic to learn
and it is about video.
video editing, why people do videos and aaall these interesting things

i am more thrilled as this week we are assigned to do pair work..it means i get a partner to work with, what makes it better is that we can choose our own partner, who we want to work with. However, it must be from a different gender.
It is not a problem at all for all of us, as we are used to work with one another, even with different gender and religion...

the task is that we have to Create a video, and it should not be educational, as the main purpose is for FUN..:)

So, my partner is.... Hayat! yes, i am comfortable working with him and i am sure we can work it out well. so, we discuss and come out with a few good ideas and themes of the video we are about to shoot and produce. It is exciting for both of us as it is our first experience in shooting and making a video. We also had the chance to consult Pn.Foziah about the ideas we had in mind, and she add a few more things to make it more interesting, and to ensure it has a good value to be delivered. so i hope the video will turn out well. wait for the outcomes ya..:) good luck to other teams..!!

a small mistake but big regret...:-)

week 8 alert!! week 8 alert! gosh we cohort 4 are half way through the semester just in a blink of an eye!! i just cant believe it..:) however i am glad too because we can finish this semester and move on to the next one, and gets closer to be a 'real' teacher..:D

okay, regarding the title above, ya this week i did a mistake in the resources class.. not a big one,but it will cause me marks..:( its regarding the e-book submission, i carelessly forgot to print our the e-book slide shows, and its one of the important criteria to be submit and assess on.. hooooww can i overlook it.. but nevermind, i have already explain to Pn.Foziah and hopefully she will understand
this week's class was just all about housekeeping and submission of assignments, just a fair reminder from Pn.Foziah regarding the workssss need to be done and that we need to be on track

i aslo helped to collect the assignments and also update the attendance list to check on who miss out class..:P its a good chilling session in the classroom, where we also got the chance to update our blogs and do the other tutorials..:) looking forward for the next class...:D

edit the Audio!

im back from the holiday..:)
a good 'sweet escape' for me after aall the hectic works we had to be done..
anyway, thank god i finished my e-book on time and its lovely too..(well..i think..) and THANKS a bunch to Pn.Foziah for extending the due date to submit it..
i know most of my friends have difficulties to submit it as there are no internet access at their homet0wn..

this week, we are introduced to "Audio editing" and indeed it is something new for aaall of us.. we have not explore the world of audio editing. We had a brief introduction on the history of audio editing and also why we edit our audio files. I can see that the world of technology really develops as compared to the olden days where people have to edit and re-do everything aaalll over again... troublesome! :P

we were also introduced to a few software for audio editing such as audacity and even movie maker.. it is interesting on how an audio file can be edit and play around with it.. we can make funny voices and even enhances the quality of it.. i like the effect where the voices in the audio file become like a cartoon voice..its soo funny..:P another cool thing is also that i can combine a few songs together and make it better..and suits to the need of using the song.. its really useful as this semester i will do alot of technology teaching material, and when i am able to edit the song that im going to use for teaching, it will help me reach the teaching objective, plus capture students attention...:P cool huh..
anyway, we were given a few audio files to be edited so we can experience and play around with the software..
okay..im excited to explore it..good luck to aaalll my course mates too!!

week 6

its been 6 weeks already!!
yeay! its exciting..:D

anyway, during Resources class, Pn.Foziah gives a lecture on doing and effective and interactive E-Book...
Pn.Foziah also showed us a few examples that can really guide us in doing an E-Book

then, we have time to discuss on the topics we wanted to do for our E-book, besides that we also had the chance to discuss it with our lecturer to look at the suitability and more ideas to make it better. The session was very good as each of us can meet our lecturer individually and discuss our ideas.
As for me, i had the idea about pets, but then its better to focus on just one pet and tells more on the daily life of the pet and the owner.
now, im off to look for the right pictures and the right story for my E-Book...

fire drill and works.

hello..
well..the fifth week, our class started with..
a FIRE DRILL..
it was raining and i was rushing to class because i was quite late
but then when i come to class and just about to sit down..
suddenly the bell ring..soo looudd..
we were trying to ignore it..however puan. Foziah told us its a fire drill
soo..there we go, running down the stairs in a 'hurry' and line up in the place provided..
its kinda fun..its been awhile since i've been in such activity

there were also some demonstration on how to put off a fire
cool!! after 30 mins, we were in the classroom again where
this time Pn.Foziah brief us on our assignment
groups were divided so we can work easily among ourselves
next up was the briefing on photo editing...
its interesting and i looveeeeee it
well, i love taking pictures soo i love to edit it too..:)
its fun exploring new skills in editing pictures and im really looking forward to it

the three hours runs so fast, we were doing the assignments, discussing and editing even updating our blogs..:P
so...whats up for the next class..??
i wonder..:P

4th

ouh...my blog seems to be sooo 'silent' because its no follower..:P
i mean..i have a few in my other blog but not this blog..hehe..because no huha huha about this blog. hurrrmmm..maybe later i will tell my other friends to visit and comment on my blog..

this 4th week, mdm Foziah was not able to come in the class and she gave me the tasks and works to be done in the class. so the whole 3 hours was just merely all of us trying to complete the internet skills tutorial..:) thank god the internet was fast and it helps to at least finish a few of it.

i know the pressure is on, because for internet skills only we have a lot... really mean A LOT to do..not including all the other photo editing and bla bla bla..

i looveee Tuesdays...because it is a very relaxing class for me..:)

okaay okaay..off to do some works..bye

internet skills

its the third week people....
and im sick...with high fever+flu+cough...:(
and i was not able to go to the class

i was soo thankful to firdaus@ celus that help me out to take the books because it was suppose to be my job..but im not there..thank u ya..!!
anyway..since i was not in the class..i just heard news from my friends that there are a loot to do for the internet skills tutorial.

that is why, i ask my friends about what to do and how to do it. then only i know the real use of 'print screen' hehehe..im quite excited to do it at first but it really needs a lot of patience u know..
okay i hope i can finish the internet skills in time..:)

the second week

salam..
people..
gosh..my second class in resources subject..was hectic
we just got 2 new books and then Pn.Foziah gave us few tasks to do..
and then, we were divided into certain groups.
as for me, im in the video editing group.
gosh..video..? i dont even know anything about it..but i guess here is where i learn.
my leader is my cool friend..firdaus! we are counting on u firdaus..:P

there are just soo many things to do
and i got the first look at our seniors past years folios.
and ya..it is soooo thick! how am i going to do something like that!
haissshh..it seems to be a lot of work.
but im just praying hard i can go through this semester successfully.
wishing the same to my beloved friends too..

the first

hello
well..its our first class that includes 3 hours of being in class
and thinking of it makes me tired
i enter the class with anxiety not only because of im afraid of the hardship of the subject itself but also...that im not a fan of gadgets and computers as well.. i know i will be weak in facing such thing

however, as i enter the class.. mdm Foziah, the lecturer were so welcoming..motherly and...the way she brief us about what we are going to face throughout the course..it decreases my anxiety and i think..with a lot of help from my friends and the lecturer, i think i will be able to make it through and i hope all my friends feel the same too

i think now im excited that i get too learn how to make teaching aids using technology.. and in school nowadays, ICT is being used all over, so that is why i think i need to equipt myself with this knowledge if not, i will be embarrass if my students know more and are better in ICT than me...:P
